Our church, Vertical Life, partners with All for His Glory, a US-based ministry, and Manna Ministries, an African-based ministry, which works to better the life of African widows and children. They feed widows and children, build schools, homes, and even bathrooms, and also provide things like sewing machines, goats, and chickens – whatever is needed.
From our December 2019 litter, we chose a beautiful black abstract female and named her “Kisumu,” after the African city. We prayed over her for her to find the perfect family and to allow us to bless another family across the world. In February, that prayer was answered, and a lovely couple found Kisumu. They were thrilled to receive both a puppy and a chance to give to someone else.
In February 2019, we were about to present Nidia with the funds, and in March 2020, a widow with three children received her new house. The house isn’t much to look at when given American standards, but for someone who can’t lock their door and who worries about rain entering through holes in the leaky roof, and animals sneaking in to steal their food, these newly built homes are like mansions.
We don’t share this story to make ourselves look good, but rather to give God the glory. He has given us the blessing of these puppies, and our heart’s desire is for them to be a blessing to others.
