We prefer that puppy families choose their puppy before pickup. We are happy to discuss the temperaments of individual puppies as well as provide photos, videos, and facetime to help families choose. We are able to provide a more organized, streamlined process when families choose their puppy prior to pickup.
We do offer deposit holders the option of selecting between two or three different puppies (our discretion) if the pups of interest are ready and available to go home on day of puppy pickup. Multiple puppies may not be reserved with one deposit. If you would like to select between several puppies, what we recommend is putting a deposit on your favorite puppy. If you would like to use the Puppy Selection option, selection must occur by the weekend after a deposit is placed.
Due to a pattern of people cancelling at the last minute or not showing up at all, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate anyone wanting to come visit without a deposit. An exception may be made for older pups or retiring pups, but as a general rule, we will no longer accommodate visitors who have not already placed a deposit on a puppy. For those worried about scammers, we are happy to provide a list of references as well as Facetime with puppies. We are happy to text or talk on the phone as well. No one has ever been scammed by us, and no one will ever be scammed by us. We write all our own content; there is no AI here!
Please understand that we are not a pet store. We are a family, and puppies are raised in our home. For the health and safety of our puppies and our children, we do not allow people to come inside and see our puppies. We do have an outside covered Puppy Meet and Greet Area for our families to be able to interact with puppies on puppy pickup day.
We start all of our puppies at three weeks of age on going to the potty on an artificial grass pad system or pee pad with grate systems. Puppies generally adapt very well to going outside, or they can continue to use one of the systems they are already familiar with if it is more convenient for you. Those who live in an apartment without an easily-accessible yard or those who add on of our very small dogs to their family sometimes find that it is easiest for them to use an indoor system or to go back and forth between indoor and outdoor potty locations.
Technically speaking, no dog is “hypoallergic” or non-shedding. However, certain breeds and certain generations are more allergy-friendly than others.
Most people assume that F1b puppies are better for allergies, and sometimes, this is the correct assumption. However, not always. It really depends on the breed, the genetic makeup and coat type of the parents, and the puppy itself.
As far as sheepadoodles go, what we have found is that all of the generations seem to be generally more allergy-friendly than other breeds (such as goldendoodles, labradoodles, etc.). This is because both sheepdogs and poodles are double-coated dogs. When they do “shed,” it’s more similar to you or I shedding out hair occasionally than losing fur on a consistent basis. Because their shedding is mostly limited to when they are brushed or clipped, allergens (dander) are not as actively dispersed into the environment, which is better for allergy sufferers.
When crossing a single-coated dog (like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) with a poodle, the F1b generation is generally more allergy-friendly than the F1 generation. However, we have found that many of our F1 cavapoos have soft straight to wavy hair and do not seem to consistently shed. They may shed a tiny bit or turn over their coat seasonally.
A lot of people ask us if they can pick out their puppy in person. If the puppies are under 8 weeks, the answer is unfortunately not. Little puppies are susceptible to all kinds of illness. Also, puppies are raised in our home, and we don’t allow anyone inside of our home to protect our puppies and our family. Puppy families may select their puppy via photos, videos, and Facetime before puppies are 8 weeks old.
After puppies are 8 weeks old, if multiple puppies are available from the same litter or of the same breed, families who have placed a deposit may come and choose their puppy from 2 or 3 available puppies. We no longer allow anyone to “just come take a look” without a deposit. We are not a pet store, and we do not have time to spare for window shopping. We are always happy to Facetime or provide references for those who are worried about being scammed.
Even those who do come to pick out their puppy in person have a hard time deciding upon which puppy to choose, because all of our puppies are wonderful! And 99 percent of the time, we have already chosen the puppy the family decides upon, because we listen to the needs of our families and know our puppies well.
F1 refers to the First Generation Cross. All puppies will be exactly 50 percent of each breed. For example, an F1 sheepadoodle will be half (50%) Old English Sheepdog and half (50%) Poodle. An F1 cavapoo will be exactly half (50%) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and half (50%) Poodle.
F1b refers to a First Generation parent crossed back to one of the two breeds, usually a poodle. The F1 parent is bred to a poodle parent, and the resulting babies are around 25% of the breed (Old English Sheepdog, Cavalier, etc.) and 75% poodle. However, F1bs are not always exactly 75/25 because it really just depends on how much of each gene the F1 parent passes.
For more information on puppy generations, please check out our Generation Chart.

We have two deposits. The first is a $100 admin fee to join our Reservation List. This amount covers the time it takes for us to review your information, touch base with you via phone and email, and email your customized reservation form. When you join our Reservation List, we trust that you are serious about wanting one of our puppies. We plan our litters based on the puppies people have requested. If you decide not to wait for one of our puppies, we have still planned on providing a puppy for you until you tell us otherwise and then must put in additional time to find the pup another great home. For this reason, this deposit is non-refundable. It is transferrable within 12 months to a new litter but not refundable.
The second deposit is the puppy selection deposit; (we have recently changed the timing of this one). When puppies are 3-4 weeks of age, you may select your puppy based on photos, videos, and/or a video chat, and when you select your puppy, your second deposit of $400 is due either shortly before or within 24 hours of your selection. This deposit is also transferable, but not refundable. In the event that a tragedy happens to your puppy, an exception will be made.
Yes, we begin crate training our puppies at around five weeks. Even before this point, however, puppies have already been familiarized with their moms’ crates. Our puppies are introduced to their crates for naps, but are not fully crate trained since most puppies are not developmentally ready for full (overnight) crate training until 7 or 8 weeks, which is when they are already going home to you!
Additional weeks of crate training and potty training may be available by special request for an additional fee, but please note that our abilities to fulfill these requests may vary based on our schedule.
Our goal is for your puppy to see their crate as their “den” and to be comfortable with being in their crates before they start their new lives with their forever families. We find that beginning crate training here makes our pups’ transition to their new homes much easier on them and on their new families. We’ve received feedback from many families who truly appreciate their pup’s familiarity with the crate. This jumpstarts their puppy’s ability to follow a nighttime routine within a few days of arriving home.
Yes, we sell full AKC (breeding) rights on our poodles to small in-home breeding programs.
No, we do not sell full rights on our sheepadoodles, except very rarely to select breeders. All sheepadoodles are sold on strict spay/neuter contracts.
If you have an intact dog and would like to add one of our puppies to your family, we do not feel comfortable placing a puppy with you of the opposite gender unless you purchase full rights. We will not place a sheepadoodle with another intact dog in the home of the opposite gender, since we do not sell full rights on our sheepadoodles.
For poodles, generally, yes, we do take puppies to the vet to dock tails and remove dewclaws. We choose a 2/3 dock (AKC standard), and we remove dewclaws because many people prefer them removed for a variety of reasons, including ease of grooming. Docking and dewclaw removal is included in the price of poodles.
However, there are times when we may choose to keep a litter of poodles with natural tails and dewclaws intact. Also, if you are among the first on a list of ours, you may request that your puppy’s tail be left natural and/or dewclaws left in tact.
For sheepadoodles, generally, no, we do not dock or remove dewclaws. If you would like your puppy to be docked, that’s an option if you’re first pick for a certain gender on our list. Please add $100 for your sheepadoodle to be docked and dewclaws to be removed if that’s your preference.

IF Your Puppy HAS NOT Been Born Yet…
If you would like the opportunity to pick your puppy from an upcoming litter that has not been born yet, we still encourage you to Find your Litter on our website (if it has been listed), place your deposit, and contact us to inform us of your specific requests.
Once a litter is born that meets your specifications, we will contact you within two weeks of the puppies’ birth to see if you’re ready for a puppy and if you’d like to select a puppy from that particular litter. After the puppies have been born and we can ensure that they are growing up happily and healthily, (when our puppies are around 3 weeks of age), we will begin the puppy selection process. During this time, we will contact the people on our Reservation List, in order, so that they can select their new puppy based on Facebook photos, videos, or a FaceTime chat (to be scheduled by text or email in advance).* If something unfortunate happens on your end, and you are unable to take your puppy home, you may transfer your deposit to the next available litter. Should something unfortunate happy on our end (i.e. a puppy passes away), we will give you the option to have your second deposit refunded or transferred.
If a puppy is already six weeks or older at time of deposit, we are unfortunately not able to transfer your deposit to another puppy.
The balance of your puppy’s cost is due on pickup day in cash or via Zelle or Venmo. If you would like to pay for your puppy electronically, we would prefer you send several days before pickup to ensure there are no snags in the payment process. Payment is also due in full sent electronically if you plan on having your puppy delivered or sent with a flight nanny. We will send you your Reservation Form and Health Guarantee Contract so that you’re covered before you send your final payment. Trust us…we have no intention of keeping your puppy. We love all our puppies, but they are hard work, and we are ready to pass them on to you! We have never scammed anyone and don’t ever plan on it [wink].
We currently feed our younger puppies Diamond Naturals Small/Medium Breed Puppy, which you can find at many Tractor Supply Store on Chewy.com or on Amazon as well as many feed stores.
We feed our older puppies Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice All Life Stages. We transition them to this medium-sized kibble when they are just a little bit older so that they can stay on this food into their adulthood.
A several-day supply of your puppy’s food will be provided along with feeding instructions on puppy pickup day. If you do not want to feed the same food as we do long-term, please wait at least a month to transition your puppy to a new food as to not cause your puppy any more undue stress (remember, she is in a brand new place with new people, new smells, new routines, and away from her littermates). Changing food is not necessary right away. If you do choose to change foods, please wait change her food over a two-week period of time. Please follow the AKC’s recommendations for switching to a new food.
Your puppy will have been handled from the first day of her birth and every day since by both adults and children. From days 3-16, your puppy will receive ENS (or Early Neurological Stimulation), which is the same program the US military uses to desensitize the dogs they train for special tasks.
Your puppy will receive deworming at weeks 3, 5, and 7 and additionally at our discretion if needed. At six to seven weeks, your puppy will visit our certified veterinarian to receive a full checkup and his first DLPP shot.
Your puppy will begin potty training at three weeks of age and crate training at 5-6 weeks of age. Please keep in mind that your puppy is only introduced to these concepts and has not mastered them yet. No puppy is fully potty-trained or crate trained at 8 weeks old.
Your puppy will be exposed to all kinds of sounds, textures, and environments as well as other dogs (of course), cats, and farm animals.
Your puppy will also come with a puppy pack complete with immunization and deworming records, puppy gift basket, and a several-day supply of his current food with feeding instructions.
Yes, we provide a one-year health guarantee against any testable inheritable genetic disease (testable at time of purchase). Our health guarantee does not include conditions which are not 100% scientifically determined to be inherited. We also do not provide a health guarantee for hips, elbows, patellas, etc. because many instances of dysplasia are caused by environmental factors, NOT by inheritance. However, if a puppy develops any of these orthopedic conditions unreasonably young, we will still cover the puppy with our guarantee at our discretion.
We do our best to be as familiar as current science allows with our lines and the genetic makeup of each individual dog. If there’s any discrepancy, we sometimes even test dogs with multiple labs just to double and triple check that we know what is going with our parents.
Unfortunately, we do not offer shipping services at this time. Please contact us by email if you’re interested in more information on delivery services. Depending on the time of year and our current schedules, we may be able to provide delivery or meet you partway for an additional fee, or you may fly here and travel home again with your puppy in the airplane cabin. We are happy to meet you at the Atlanta (Hartsfield-Jackson) airport for an additional $100 to cover our time spent and fuel expenses.
If you choose to fly home with your puppy, please check with the airline as to flight regulations including carrier type and size as well as any health documentation you may need before you fly.
If you would like, we can send your puppy to your local airport with a trusted flight nanny. We have had a great experience sending several of our puppies to their new homes with Rides for a Champ and TLC Flight Nanny. Please visit their websites for the current status of their service and their current fees. We charge $100 to deliver a puppy to the Atlanta Airport (Hartsfield-Jackson), but we do not receive any payment from them. Flight nannies offer their services independently from us, but we do enjoy working with them.
We do not currently ship any of our puppies internationally, but Canada flights are possible. Please contact us if you are in Canada and need your puppy flown to you.
Unfortunately, due to our family dynamics and responsibilities, we are not regularly available to provide delivery. However, depending on the time of year and our current schedules, we may be able to meet you partway or deliver your puppy for a fee. Please send us a message or an email for further puppy delivery resources.
We are usually able to accommodate taking puppies to the Atlanta airport to meet puppy families or a flight nanny. We charge $100 for this service to cover our time spent and fuel expenses.
Generally, we do not allow visits to our farm to visit our very young puppies for their health and safety and the health and safety of our children. We will provide bi-weekly photos and videos to share the puppies’ milestones and their budding personalities. We are also available to facetime in order for you to select your puppy.
